Well here we go again…another High Profile Criminal case…another controversial verdict…another chance to cause Widespread Public Media Debate. Ok…I am not here to lecture or rehash all of the facts of the case…I’m sure most of you are so sick of the media coverage by now and all of the protests and social media posts etc.

There have been tweets, emails, and posts wishing George Zimmerman bodily harm or even death. And once again…as the Not Guilty verdict has been rendered…RACE has once again come to the forefront. This case is definitely not about race. What if Trayvon Martin had been white…we would not be having these debates and protests and evil words going back and forth.

Anyone that has any knowledge and exposure to the case whether it be media or just people watching the case on TV…can truly see that the Prosecution did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt which is the standard that our judicial system is built on. With that being said…George Zimmerman was very irresponsible on that night for putting himself in that position in the first place. And when the police told him to stop pursuit he should have listened. However, we cannot go back in time and change this.

What is a fact is that this was a ridiculous charge in the first place with the second degree murder charge. There is enough evidence that there was a struggle between both parties and that Zimmerman received injuries and that Trayvon Martin lost his life. If the judicial system had done their job better…then maybe Zimmerman would have received some type of punishment which I firmly believe he deserves. Zimmerman was negligent and definitely does not lack responsibility. In fact…him being the adult lacks more responsibility.

Nonetheless…the preponderance of evidence was not there. This is really getting ugly now. The NAACP is getting involved trying to institute protests and riots. This is an absolute travesty. The NAACP needs to concentrate on the real problems in the inner cities across America where Blacks are killing Blacks and Whites killing Whites. However, we never hear about the majority if these cases. Stop making this about Racism…this I not a RACE issue.

Then we have all of these ignorant people…many of whom know nothing about the case…many who don’t even know the facts sending hate mail…death threats and tweets to do bodily harm to George Zimmerman. If you ask me…this is an ACT of RACISM! I mean…these people are just seeing the not guilty verdict if a white man that “reportedly” killed a black man jumping on this band wagon against George Zimmerman. What If a Black Man killed Trayvon…this debate would not be happening!!!! Face It!

It’s very sad…I myself believe that Zimmerman was wrong in his actions and deserved some type of punishment for this case. Now we have a Star NFL Player tweeting that all of the Jurors should “Kill Themselves.” C’MON…what is wrong with people. Using Violence to combat violence is not the answer. And this is just another example of how this case has been blown out of proportion and used as a Racial Ideology.

Parents lose their kids everyday to murder/manslaughter/tragedies and we never hear about those cases. The case is over…and now we must move on. God knows the truth…And George Zimmerman will ultimately have to answer to God one day. The people that are making this a race issue must rethink what they are doing. They are just instituting more violence to react to violence. This is where the Racism comes into it. Stop making this “White and Black”. Move on…there will be many more cases just like this. I mean if you live locally…a young girl was murdered in Clayton, New Jersey by three black boys and the Race card was never put out there. There were no protests. But you never hear about this!

And now we have the Government trying to file Civil Rights Charges and Hate Crime Charges! WTF is wrong with these people! Give it up…you are just prolonging the HATE and I am so sick of hearing that this was racially motivated. It could have been a white boy wearing the same hoodie and Zimmerman would have acted the same way! I am so sick of this!!!! Please!!!! Going Forward we need to be the better person. Stop making this a RACE issue. And once again…no one is denying that Racism exists but lets face it…it exists on all sides of the fence.

Let the Martins move on with their lives. Let Zimmerman and his family move on with their lives. Stop proposing protests and riots. And grow up…stop using your own hate to escalate others. Instead…look at this case as a lesson that everyday citizens need to be more careful and let law enforcement handle situations that seem suspicious.

GROW UP AMERICA!!! NAACP…do something that is truly helpful and help our own communities. Like I said…these murders happen everyday…stop with the RACE ISSUE. It’s getting so OLD!

“An Eye For an Eye…A Tooth for a Tooth.” This saying was coined from the Code of King Hammurabi, who was the King of Babylon (1792-1750B.C). The Saying was also used in the Bible…
“Ye Have Heard it hath said, An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” (Matthew 5:38). Most people, even those that have are uneducated have heard this phrase many times. However, most people that hear it may misinterpret the true meaning. Nonetheless, it means exactly what it says. Seriously, have you ever thought deeply about the saying and how it applies in modern society. Oh yeah, that’s right, it doesn’t…At least not in the United States.

Speaking of this saying, I thought about it just the other day when I was watching CNN, and saw the Jodi Arias trial come to a conclusion… well not really. Jodi Arias was convicted of First Degree Murder for killing her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. For those people that are not familiar with the Arias case, Jodi Arias, now 32 was just convicted for brutally murdering her ex-boyfriend. The trial, which took over five months, became a very high profile case and Jodi was made a celebrity because of it and received a ton of publicity.

Jodi was convicted for the stabbing and shooting murder of Travis Alexander in 2008. Jodi Arias and Travis had dated for a short period and then broke up. Well, Arias became obsessed with Alexander and stalked him…they still met up a few times for physical relations. After the murder, it was discovered that Arias and Alexander shared a pretty intense and over the top sexual relationship. When Jodi was arrested, she first denied the murder. Jodi was a beautiful blonde “bombshell” who would never fit the stereotype of someone who could commit murder. However, all of the evidence pointed to her guilt. Any intelligent person can see that this case became high profile for a few reasons…Jodi’s looks, the sexual escapades of her and the deceased, and the back and forth, changing stories that were thrown around by Arias.

Although Arias was found guilty by the Jury in a unanimous decision, the Jury could not give her the Death Penalty. Arias had claimed the entire time that she was mentally and physically abused by Alexander before she killed him in cold blood. The same Jury that found her guilty of the crime could not come to an agreement on the Death Penalty or Life in Prison without the possibility of parole. Now a retrial will occur with a new jury, beginning on July 18th where she can either be sentenced to Die or Go to Prison for the rest of her adult life.

This is just one of the many cases that shows how futile America’s Judicial System is today. First of all, I am totally against the Death Penalty if it is not used in the proper way. What I mean by this…is that I support the Death Penalty 100 Percent, but it must be used in the right way. The Death Penalty, otherwise known as “Capital Punishment” is a legal process where a person is convicted to die for a crime. Currently today, 58 Total Nations practice Capital Punishment…while 97 Countries have abolished it. There are currently 32 out of the 52 States in the U.S. that institute the Death Penalty.

New Jersey does not use the Death Penalty, as it was abolished in 2007. Capital Punishment is one of the most controversial topics in today’s society. I actually wrote a Thesis on the topic in College way back when, lol. But in all seriousness, the Death Penalty today is a “joke” with all of the appeals and even the way it is used, today almost all states use lethal injection, which has deadly chemicals injected into the criminal as they are put to death.

In my opinion, America’s Judicial System sucks today for many reasons. The main reason that our Criminal Code fails miserably is because it is “weak.” By weak, I mean there are too many cracks in the surface and it is so inconsistent, but mostly these codes do not do much to stop would be crimes from occurring. This could be very different if the system was revamped under the “Eye for An Eye” Method.

Lets first look at the Death Penalty. If someone knowingly commits murder in any way, besides self defense (domestic violence, abuse, law enforcement, etc.) and the person is found guilty, there should be No Life In Prison. The person should automatically be sentenced to Death, with no possibility of appeal or years of time in death row. If a criminal shoots someone, they should be shot execution style. If someone stabs another human being to death, that person should also be stabbed to death. If a person burns someone, they should be set on fire. This would go on where the penalty matches the crime. Think about it…do you not think that people would think twice of committing murder if they knew that they would automatically get death themselves. And don’t you think it would be even more effective if the criminal knew beforehand that the penalty would match the crime??

Capital Punishment, as I stated is a complete joke today. All of its layers real of weakness and focus too much on the humane side of the argument. Was the murderer humane when they committed their crime? Hell No!!!! Well, if you shoot someone in the United States you will be executed by a firing squad. For the terrorist in the Boston Bombing, you will face a bomb in a steel cell that is made up of all of the same materials that were used in your crime. For Jodi Arias, you will be hacked to death with a meat cleaver and stabbed with a knife. If you kill someone with a baseball bat, you will then be beaten to death. This list could go on and on…but I think my point was made.

Lets look at other crimes. If you steal, your hand should be chopped off. If you steal multiple times, all of your limbs should be cut off. If you beat someone and abuse them, you should be beaten and abused. If you rape someone and are convicted…you should be raped by someone in prison. How about credit fraud or identity theft, well this crime should be in the form of punishment that hurts your pockets.

Lets look at other crimes like Driving Under the Influence. First of all, if you kill someone while under the influence and are successfully convicted of manslaughter, you should automatically be sent to prison for life, without the possibility of parole. If you are arrested for a non fatal killing and are convicted of a DUI, you should lose your license for no less than 10 Years…no exceptions. Not the puny 6 months to a year that is now the current standard in the US for first time offenders. If you are found guilty of a second DUI…your license will be revoked for life. Once again, do you not think that these crimes would decrease dramatically?

The United States Crime Code is terrible. First of all it is extremely weak. Second of all, it does not strike fear into would be criminals. Also, our foreign policies suck. We always think more about other countries than ourselves. When 9/11 occurred, we should have tool out the Middle East in one shot. America will pay the price…trust me. I know this may seem like a radical opinion, however it would surely decrease crime in America. People would truly be scared and think twice about committing these crimes. I feel that the only way that our Justice Department and Judicial System will be bettered is if we take the “Eye For an Eye” approach.

I firmly believe that the “Eye For An Eye” code would help this country. There are so many reasons to be happy that we live in America where we have many rights. However, with rights comes responsibility. Also, with responsibility comes ownership. With ownership comes being held accountable. In order to be held accountable these criminals should be tried in a fair manner. The only true fair and just method is to be consistent across the board…no loopholes. I am sure that this type of action will never occur in my lifetime…but I truly believe that it would solve Americas Criminal War. Also, speaking about foreign crime and the War on Terror, if these countries are responsible for committing crimes against the United States, we should stop funding and helping immediately. Wake Up Washington…there will be a revolution if things don’t get better. The writing is on the wall.

It’s so amazing how fast technology evolves. I can remember back to the nineties, when pagers and beepers were the hot commodity. By 1990, World Wide Paging had been invented and there were over 22 Million Different Pagers in Use. By 1994, my Senior Year of High School, there were over 66 million almost tripled from four years prior. Just like Sony Walkmans, everyone had one. Of course, just having a pager was not enough. They began to make all kinds of colors and cases, also donning all types of Decorative Art.

In 1987, cell phones were just becoming a popular item and a certain particular cell phone became very popular. Fleet, which later became Nextel Communications was the hottest provider and actually invented a phone with a “Push to Talk” walkie feature. This was especially popular in the Contracting Realm of Employment. In 2005, Nextel merged with another popular carrier Sprint and at this point had over 20 Million Subscribers in the United States alone.

The next big craze was IPODS and Smart Phones. The first smart phone was actually invented by IBM in 1992. Smart phones overtook the cellular media outlet totally by 2013. Even “Regular Cell Phones” are dinosaurs today. Pagers are almost extinct and non existent. The early models just linked phones with PDA’s but today’s phones are equipped with a minimum of a digital camera, portable media players similar to IPods, and even GPS systems. Touchscreen and wifi were the next upgrades allowing users to surf the Internet at virtually any time from virtually anywhere.

In 2007, The IPHONE by Apple was introduced and now all of the Smart Phones are similar to the IPHONE in options. There is the Android, Blackberry, Symbian and many other models. There are also many service carriers with the most popular being Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and Microsoft. These carriers also provide Internet service, while Verizon actually supplies Cable TV. Everything today begins and ends with the cell phone.

It was only ten years ago where I remember having to wait until the next morning to watch the News to see what was going on in with current events. I can also remember purchasing a Daily News every AM to check out all the sports news, statistics, and highlights. Then this phenomenon became ESPN where you could see the sports news every hour. And of course, it then evolved to the “Bottom Line” on ESPN TV where all of the days sports news slides slowly across the screen. It just keeps evolving. Now you have the news or sports at the tip of your finger. They have applications on the phone that allow you up to second scores, statistics, highlights, and even play by play as well as actual simulated games that are in real time. All of these evolutions are incredible and it almost feels like something new comes about daily today.

Along with the social news media and smartphones…today we have taken it to an even further level. In August, 2003, MY SPACE was launched by Justin Timberlake. MySpace was a social media outlet on the Internet with strong music connections. From 2005-2008, MY SPACE was the most visited networking site…even more than Google. However, in 2008 FACE BOOK was created and quickly overtook MY SPACE as the Number One Social Media Outlet.

Facebook has grown to the point where it has become an actual addiction. I myself am relatively new to Facebook, having joined in 2011. However, it’s so easy to get sucked into the hoopla. One thing that is dangerous about Facebook is that it can put a strain on relationships, because of the access to whoever you want…maybe an ex boyfriend or girlfriend or coworker. It also causes a lot of drama regarding many issues.

One good thing about Face Book is that it gives every individual person the right to put whatever they may like to their site as well as control who and how many can see their material. It actually gives an ordinary person the ability to feel special. For example, a buddy of mine calls himself “The Life Coach” and he posts random statuses about life’s different trials, obstacles, etc. but he adds humor and sarcasm to the mix to get more people’s interest. Face Book can be a great tool as well as bad depending on how it is used. In my estimation, many people abuse the site including myself, which dampens its positive affect on society.

In conclusion, the Social Media Network has become the leader of everyone’s everyday lives. Cell Phones are attached at people’s body. At the dinner tables, people are more worried about what may be going on with their phone, a la text messaging, FaceBook, Internet Web, multi media players and music, etc. Believe me, I see this first hand because I am guilty of it. Also, people in record number are on their cell phones at their Place of employment, while working instead of focusing on the task at hand. And the worst aspect of this craze is the amount of people who die behind the wheel or kill others everyday, while using a cell phone and driving. There is so much more research that is being done on this phenomenon and you could write a novel. I am planning on revisiting this topic at a later date and will cover other topics. To Be Continued……

September 11, 2001, otherwise known as 9/11 was the largest catastrophe in American History. Pearl Harbor was a horrible tragedy. But let’s face it, Hawaii doesn’t come close to New York City and Washington. 9/11 was a monumental moment in the war on terrorism. Terrorists had done many attacks before using many different methods, but this was the first time that any one flew airplanes into a building as a bomb.

On February 26th, 1993, Eight Years before 9/11 a truck bomb was detonated around the World Trade Center in an attempt to bring down the Twin Towers. This attack was the precursor to Islamic Terror around the World. It was also the moment that Osama Bin Laden became Public Enemy Number One. Osama Bin Laden had been on the United States radar, however this attack on our soil raised the level to extreme.

Osama Bin Laden had been involved in the War in Afghanistan against Russia. Our own CIA funded the Islamic Jihadists and helped them defeat Russia, who pulled its troops out in 1989. After the Gulf War, Bin Laden became enraged and was set on a mission to bring Global Terrorism to life.
In April 1993, the incident known as “Black Hawk Down”, a few American Helicopters were shot down in Africa. The people that carried out this mission were funded and trained by Al Qaeda. Eighteen Americans and thousands of African civilians were killed.

After this incident, President Clinton pulled our troops out of Somalia and Africa. By doing this, the United States showed that they were scared and that Al Qaeda could use their threats to beat superpowers, just as they had with Russia. At this point, the United States became more aware of Bin Laden and his reign of terror. In 1996, Osama Bin Laden was exiled from the Sudan and his refuge. He returned to Afghanistan and issued a decree against the United States in an interview. At this point, a declaration of war had been made.

Osama Bin Laden was like the “Master of Puppets” pulling the strings behind closed doors. He remained anonymous and hidden during this time. At this point, the US created a Counter-Terrorism Agency that was devoted to catching one person, one man, Bin Laden. Osama Bin Laden was like the “Godfather” of the Mafia. He was determined to destroy the United States until we vacated all of their Holy Lands. He also denounced America’s alliance with Israel.

During the decade from 1995-2005, Osama Bin Laden used the News and Interviews as well as all media outlets to lead his crusade. On August 7th, 1998 Al Qaeda bombs two American Embassies in which over 250 people were killed and over 4,000 were injured. This was the largest terror attack yet and Bin Laden was flexing his muscles.

This attack was another tank in Bin Laden’s armor, as Terrorism was becoming more and more prevalent. There were repeated warnings that a huge attack was coming, but somehow our Government Agencies were not able to “Blend” intelligence and the attack on 9/11 took America totally by surprise.

After 9/11, there were so many chances and close calls to catch Bin Laden, but all of these opportunities came and went. America was the Number One SuperPower and yet we failed to catch one man. The Manhunt for Bin-Laden was the largest and longest in US history.

Until he was killed in the famous raid on May 2nd, 2011, He was the World’s most wanted man. Bin Laden was extremely dangerous and relentless in his attempts to bring down the United States. The World had not saw a person of this magnitude since Adolf Hitler. Although Hitler and the Nazi regime killed many more people, him and Osama were very similar in their dedication to their cause. Of course, Hitler wanted to destroy the Jews, while Bin Laden wanted to destroy the entire United States.

After Osama Bin Laden was killed, the war in terror was not finished. Terrorism is still alive and well. So the question is…who is the World’s Most Wanted Man now? There are always dangerous people who may rise up to power and cause chaos around the World. Some people would argue that today our Government is our number one enemy. “Our own Worst Enemy.” What we have learned is that when someone had their mind set…it can take the World by surprise.

This past December, one of the worst school shootings in US history occurred in Sandy Hook Connecticut at a small elementary school. 20 Children and adults were murdered in cold blood that day. I remember being at work and all of the employees rushing in to tell those of us at work the terrible news. During that week, it was hard to see anything on television or the news that was not dominated by gun debates and school violence and what measures should be taken.

Here we are…it’s almost the end of April. I mean, that day will never be forgotten, but just like September 11th, the media craze has fazed out. That’s the problem with our media today. The American media is like “up the stories ass.” Literally, our media is dangerous in my opinion. And you are hearing from someone who has very drastic political views and ideas regarding daily ideology. Sometimes, I even get obsessed with these news stories.

The ironic thing about these sad stories is that the majority of them involve evil of some sort. Why is the human brain drawn to evil and bad things. Why are our brains so wired to want to view “bad news.” Well, there is actually scientific evidence that the human brain is attracted to these kinds of tragedies and disasters. The reason we are attracted to violence is because we fear and want to be able to protect ourselves. Unfortunately, today’s media and news sector takes these “bad occurrences” and blows them up tenfold. It’s like the News Media is relentless to one up each other.

It’s the battle of the fittest with the news trying to capture as much footage on video as possible. Many times in today’s society, this footage is actually filmed live. Unfortunately, the overpowering media has a way of desensitizing we as humans towards violence. I mean, I can remember so many people blaming heavy metal, rap music, video games and movies for causing violence. However, I feel that the news media is more dangerous and has a more telling factor in adding to the growing violence.

Think back to two Monday’s ago… The Boston Marathon Terror bombings. There was nonstop coverage from when the bombings occurred until Thursday and Friday when the suspects were nailed…one dying and one getting arrested in the hospital where he recovers from injuries sustained during a police standoff. Well, this just occurred two weeks ago and you are already seeing a media retreat from all of the epic footage and audio if the horrible tragedy.

On this Monday, two tragedies occurred on the same day. The Boston Bombings and the Texas Factory Explosion. It was almost like these were the only two stories being covered on television and “Nothing Else Matters.” It really was bad because children are wide awake at this time and If parents did not see them watching then they could be extremely traumatized by these events.

I respect the media and their quest to get us the most up to date news and keep us notified of what is going on around the world…especially locally. However, I feel that the media has become a dangerous avenue, almost like a cult. The media is extremely relentless and does not think of every persons different viewpoints when they cover these stories. They ask dumb questions like “Was being around the bombing scary?” This is just an outrage. Especially for someone who just dealt with this tragedy on a personal basis.

The Media needs to take a step back and go much slower with their coverage of these events. As I said, it’s like all or nothing. You are already not thinking about these bombings because the media did its damage already and now has retreated. Like if you also believe that our news media is dangerous. The media must realize this fact and look in the mirror. For all of our sakes. For the kids sakes. For the better benefit of society. God bless the people of Boston and Texas and God bless every other human that has personally been affected by all if These past tragedies…9/11, the Challenger Explosion, Hurricane Sandy, the school shootings, the shootings in the Denver Movie Theater, and all of the other tragedies if yesterday’s past.

There are numerous definitions of Terrorism. In 1989, the United States instituted a definition which states that terrorism is premeditated, politically or religious motivated violence that is perpetrated against non combatant targets by sub national groups or Clandestine groups. After 9/11, it was added that a major characteristic of terrorism is the aim or ability to intimidate a population.

Early Terrorism included the Gun Powder Plot, which was an attempt to destroy English Parliament in 1605 and the Boston Tea Party, which was an attack on British property by the Sons of Liberty in 1773. Terrorism escalated with the invention of more affordable explosives including dynamite.

A very early form of Terrorism in the United States was the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) who used such ideas as white supremacy, anti-semitism, racism, anti-Catholicism, and nativism. In Europe the IRA (Irish Republican Army) used bombings and assassinations to try to free Egypt from British control. The first major terrorism act was the 1946 bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem killing 96 people and wounding 46.

During the 1980’s and 1990’s, Islamic militancy in pursuit of religious and political goals increased. In 1985, Air India Flight 182 was blown up killing 329 people, mostly of Indian descent. This was the beginning of terrorism through the air. On April 19th, 1995 the Oklahoma City Bombing was directed at the US government by Timothy McVeigh that killed 168 and wounded 800 people. During his trial, McVeigh cited revenge against the US government for his motivation.

Hezbollah, a Middle East group bombed the Beruit Barracks which killed more than 200 US Marines. The Muslim Brotherhood was formed and led by Abdel-Rahman who was responsible for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. In 1988, Al Qaeda (Islamic Jihadist movement) was created by Osama Bin Laden.

Al Qaeda has been responsible for many terror attacks including the dual simultaneous bombing of two US embassies in Africa, which killed 224 people. In 2000, the USS Cole was bombed killing 17 US sailors. And in the most heinous act of terrorism ever committed, on the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 Hijackers affiliated with Al Qaeda hijacked four US commercial passenger jet airliners crashing two into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and one that was taken down by the passengers that may have been heading to another US city. In all, 2,973 people perished in those attacks, the worst terrorist attack to date.

Of course, on this past Monday two Russian immigrants set off two bombs at the Boston Marathon, which killed 3 people and wounded 176. The perpetrators went on a rampage after US security leaked pictures out to the public showing who was responsible. The older brother was killed in a Gun Battle after killing a police officer and the younger brother was taken alive and still remains in critical condition.

So this brings us to the major debate regarding terrorism. Since 9/11 the Patriot Act has made it easier to prosecute and charge groups with terrorism. However, what most people in the US do not understand us that not all terrorists are these Muslim Groups. In fact, today there are so many groups and subgroups of terrorists. Also, there are many homegrown terrorists that work alone. Remember the Beltway Sniper…now him and a not killed over ten people in a one month period of terror before they were caught.

Terrorism is a very real aspect of society today. But what really separates terrorism from just normal violence. Terrorism is violence. Violence is terrorism. When the Boston bombings occurred, everyone in America assumed that this had to be an Al Qaeda attack. Of course, the 24/7 media coverage does not help. I mean, the stories kept changing. Well, the perpetrators happen to be Chechnyan Immigrants that had been living in the US. Only time will tell if they were funded or affiliated by radical groups. It really does not matter…the people that are dead are not coming back. No matter what information is found, these families, town and community was devastated.

In my opinion, the media actually propels American thinking and makes people assume the worst. As evidenced by this weeks events, the 24/7 coverage of the bombings and fallout was in excess. Some of the video and audio was disturbing. And what’s worse is that now the Right Wing Gun Movement is stating that the lockdown in Boston is just another example of why guns should not be banned. Even worse, anti-police blogs were arguing that the Government should not have searched all the homes that they did. C’MON…are you kidding me. People need to have respect for all of the people including first responders that were affected by this terror attack. Wether these bombings are labeled “Terrorism” or not is not important. What is important is that we learn from each type of violent incident that occurs in our nation. The Media needs to use more caution while covering these issues as well. More to Come.

Ok…during this week that is not over yet, we have already suffered 2 Tragedies on American Soil. First of all, we were all shocked and appalled on Monday when Boston became the site of the worst tragedy to hit the US since September 11th, when two bombs were detonated injuring 176 people and killing 3. Then on Wednesday, a deadly explosion rocked the town of Waco, Texas. A fertilizer plant exploded killing at least five people and possibly more than twenty and leaving virtually the entire town homeless. Eyewitnesses stated that the blast was like a “Nuclear Bomb” and that it mimicked a Tornado in how it leveled houses and buildings.

Wow…these are two horrible tragedies that have occurred in three days. The Boston “Massacre” part two is being investigated as an act of terrorism. The tragedy in Texas is not believed to be a terrorist plot, however that has not been ruled out at this time. I think it’s important to note that terrorism can have many forms as well as many repercussions. No matter what the facts are, what does it really matter if these tragedies are really “terrorism” or not. Is it really that important to put a label on either of them. Does it change the circumstances? Will it bring back those people who died? Will it make any of the survivors cope better? Will it make those who lost loved ones feel any better.

We have become a society of mass news media and getting the best story. Everything is micro analyzed in today’s society. The Boston tragedy appears to be an act of terror…wether domestic or home grown, or that of foreign perpetrators such as Al-Quaeda. The explosion at the fertilizer plant in Texas appears to be accidental in nature, however, foul play has not been ruled out which I am sure will come to light in the following days after the scene is investigated.

The purpose of this post is to stress the non importance of wether or not these tragedies are acts of terror. It really does not matter. The fact is…people have lost lives and loved ones and friends, some have lost limbs and have been affected by bodily injury, most will be affected by post traumatic stress syndrome, and the entire United States will be affected by how the media handles the aftermath.

In the face of tragedy, we must remain strong and resilient. I myself am not a fan of the Obama administration…nor am I a fan of our current political state, however, CMoN! We cannot use either of these tragedies or even past ones such as the school shootings in Sandy Hook to push political agendas. I am disappointed in the Republican Party for using these tragedies as forms of political doctrine. One report had a US senator saying that Obama is using the families of the “Sandy Hook Shootings” as well as Gabrielle Giffords as “PROPS” to push the Gun Control Agenda. This is bullshit!!!! Do you not have any heart Politicians, Republican or Democratic!

When tragedies like these occur we must join together and be resilient as a country. This is not the time to blame ourselves, security, terrorists, political parties. We must stand strong, just like the town of Boston…”Boston Strong”. Lets face it, any time there is a national tragedy it brings chains of misery to us all. We must not lose sight. These political factions can be just as dangerous as the terrorists we all have become familiar with after 9/11. Terrorism can take so many forms and can come from any agenda wether political or personal.

When these incidents are all said and done…they will fall to the way side just like many other tragedies that have occurred in our country in the past. Lets face it, the Sandy Hook shootings occurred less than five months ago but they are hindsight 20/20 now. Besides the ongoing gun control debate…this incident is not discussed. Even 9/11…think about it. Yes, we still have a moment of silence every year to mark the anniversary of the tragedy and to pay homage. However, do we really put ourselves in the shoes of anyone that was personally affected by the attack???? There have been movies, documentaries, trials, the Osama Bin Laden assassination, the pointless invasion of Iraq, and countless other hypocrisy that has happened since the devastation more than 12 years ago.

The true heroes are the First Responders and the millions of people who dedicated their lives to volunteering and helping, even in the face of danger. The same holds true in the Sandy Hook, Boston, Texas, and all other tragedies. We need to focus more on the real heroes and real victims. We focus too much on the Perpetrators, terrorists, and the Criminals as well as the inadequate safety standards instead of focusing on the victims and helpers and those truly affected. These are the people who should be praised and followed. Does it matter if tragedy is the result of terrorism or just random violence or just an act of nature…really?! They are all horrible and saddening.

Please pass this along too all of your friends, maybe we can make a difference. Maybe we can Show all these idiots and non intelligent bigots why this country is really going down hill. The Government is faltering in the face of adversity. They are failing to help our own people. They are failing to give credit and honor those people who deserve to be honored. They are failing in the health care industry. Please, if you are one of the guilty party (you know who you are)…look in the mirror and stop this hypocrisy. Hypocrisy and treason are just as bad as lying cheating or murder. Ignoring the truth can only lead to more violence and tragedy. In the face of tragedy we must unite and stand tall AMERICA! Please like and Share if you agree!

On February of 2012, T.J. Lane walked into a crowded High School Cafeteria near Cleveland, Ohio and murdered three students…and wounded two others before walking out of the school. He consequently was arrested and then tried as an adult. Well, there has been so much debate in the past year regarding gun control legislation and harsher gun laws with the idea that these school shootings may decrease. I myself have done research in this area and have given my own opinions and ideas regarding these heinous acts of violence.

One key notion that I have learned through my research is that not one of these mass shootings are ever completely alike and the weapons of choice have been a multitude of variety…not just automatic or semi automatic as in the Connecticut Elementary Shootings this past December.

Ok…Lets take a look at what happened yesterday when TJ Lane had his sentence hearing in court. When TJ was first arrested, he admitted to the murders, but he never truly gave a legitimate reason for them. A team of advanced medical doctors tried to prove that TJ is not sane and that he suffers from hallucinations and psychosis and fantasies. Well, what happened yesterday should just further prove that there is so much more to these crimes than just the “weapon of choice.”

Yesterday during his sentence hearing, TJ calmly walked into the courtroom and was observed smiling and making obscene gestures in a random act of obscenity towards everyone in the courtroom. After he walked into court, he calmly unbuttoned his blue dress shirt and took it off revealing a T Shirt with the word “KILLER” across his chest. The prosecutor subtly noted that this shirt was similar to the one that the boy wore the day of the murders.

At an early point in the hearing, he swiveled his chair around towards the victims families as well as his own relatives and had a smug smile and out of no where stated,” The hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory.” and then pointed his middle finger at them and cursed at them insidiously. This act of violence has to show that there is more to this boy than just the murders and his choice of weaponry. TJ Lane is definitely mentally incapacitated. These actions are in line with somebody that has some serious mental issues. For someone to show no remorse like that means that they are not bothered by what they have done.

The important idea to note is that all of these past murders have been committed by people that share this same mental incapacity. I think this should be the overlying factor when investigating these crimes and trying to stop future ones from occurring. Yes, stricter gun laws should make it harder for people to get guns in their hands. But who is to say that these problem children will not turn to some other weapon. I mean, last time I looked you only need “one hand” to commit a murder. I am all for better legislation to control guns in this country and get automatic weapons off of our streets.

However, after doing so much research and reading about these different cases, I think that it is apparent that these acts are caused more by the mental state of the perpetrator than the “weapon” that they chose. I grew up around mental illness my whole life so I do have a better understanding of it than the average “Joe”. I also have saw first hand what mental illness can do to a person as well as a family that has to deal with all of the stressful moments. But C’MON, these people are not just mentally ill. What TJ Lane just did at this hearing was inexplicable. Not only that, it’s unexplainable. What makes someone behave in this manner.

I mean the boy just received 3 consecutive life sentences in prison for murdering three people and leaving two others critically injured for life. Do you think he would have shown just a tad more of remorse for the heinous crimes that he committed. Do you think he would have shown just a tad more respect to the judge in the courtroom hearing his case. I mean, this is like a candidate going into a room for an interview wearing ripped jeans sneakers and a torn shirt! People just don’t act this way normally. And in this setting, I mean the victims families just want closure and instead they get this last reminder. The boy who killed their family members cursing them out and blasphemy towards the dead and the last memory these parents will have will be the killer wearing a shirt that says exactly that “KILLER”.

I think going forward there definitely needs to be more attention paid to people who have mental illness. Not only that, the government needs to spend more money on research and reform for this area of medical concern that completely gets ignored most of the time. Yes, making weapons harder to purchase may limit these crimes but they will not continue to cease. In fact, as this world becomes more violent and “worldly” I believe these instances will continue to happen more often. TJ Lane is just another example of a normal kid gone wrong. He is somehow under Satan’s power and has to be possessed to commit such horrific acts in the courtroom. One could argue That these actions further prove that it’s the mental issue that must take precedence when investigating these acts.

Saint Patricks Day Fotter

Hey all…it’s been awhile. I have been very busy so sorry that there has not been much activity as of late. Nonetheless, here we are Sunday March 17th, Saint Patrick’s Day. Wow, spring is almost here so as I stated this is one of the most exciting times of the year in the world of sports and entertainment.

We are a week into NFL Free Agency and there have been many surprises as well as many no brained as far as player signings and releases. The Miami Dolphins have been extremely busy in the first week. The Dolphins secured the best free agent wide receiver in the market (Mike Wallace) and Brandon Gibson while resigning Brian Hartline. The Dolphins also signed Free Agent Tight End Dustin Keller. The Chiefs have also had a busy offseason in Andy Reid’s debut behind the helm. Getting Alex Smith was huge.

In the NFC, The Philadelphia Eagles have had an interesting free agent period this far mostly concentrating on Defense. Their Defense was the weak link do this only makes sense. It also fuels the debate on wether they will select the best quarterback Gino Smith with their first pick in the draft. Smith recently went 60/64 in passing at the combine. It makes perfect sense and would be the perfect fit for the Eagles behind their new boss. In other NFC news, Dallas has remained quiet so far and it’s fans are getting unruly.

Spring Training is winding down and there are so many topics up for debate. As a Phillies fan, this spring has been exciting to say the least. It is good to see Utley and Howard finally healthy. Michael Young has been a huge addition to the lineup and Domenic Brown has been a pleasant surprise. The question mark remains Roy Halladay and his health. His velocity is drastically declined which raised the question will he last the season? This will be vital how this plays out.

The NHL is winding down in its version of what they would like to call a season. Wow…48 games…no time to weed out the good from the bad. Of course…the Flyers have been a disappointment so far, but I did not see them winning much this year anyway. The East is a battle between Pittsburgh, Boston and Montreal at the top. The west is dominated by the once unbeaten Chicago BlackHawks. The defending Champion LA Kings are back and the surprise Minnesota Wild are at the top. It should be an exciting final month of Hockey.

In the entertainment world there are so much news and notes. As far as television goes…the series Walking Dead is getting more traffic than ever. I must admit…I thought this would be a horrible show before a friend of mine made me watch an episode. Now I am HOOKED. There is also the show Breaking Bad about the Cancer Patient turned Meth Trafficker, The Following which pits a sick twisted serial killer against the world, as well as another season of CSI, American Idol, and Grey’s Anatomy.

The Movies have been fast and furious beginning last week with Oz:The Great and Powerful (The Prequel to the 1939 Classic) and Jack the Giant Killer based on Jack in the Beanstalk. I highly recommend both of these movies for any age level. They were both extremely well put together. There are many other great movies to come. Next week will bring the sequel to the GI Joe series. And later this summer, The Man of Steel the highly anticipated Version of the Superman Series.

In world news…the Gun Control debate remains at the fore front with a standstill. Those poor families that lost Loved Ones in December must be frustrated as I know I am. This issue is beyond ridiculous. These automatic weapons should have been banned a long time ago and yet the Government has still not been able to put a dent in this ongoing crisis. The debt crisis has not gotten any better. HealthCare reform sucks and the economy sucks. This Government better act soon or their will be a revolt.

On Tuesday, Anthrax will release their cover album “Anthems” which is a collection of cover songs from bands like AC/DC and Deep Purple. Deftones also has a new album out. I highly recommend the new Buck Cherry Album “Confessions.” Ok folks…that’s all I got for today but just know…I am BACK!

Ok…so it’s been awhile. Had some personal issues to attend to but I am back with a vengeance. Today I will cover a wide variety of topics. First off, I would personally like to give my condolences to the entire Saint Louis Cardinals Extended Family for losing one of the true Baseball Legends that were still alive. Yesterday, Stan Musial died at the ripe old age of 92. Well, many of us will not even see 75 so that is quite an accomplishment in itself. Musial in my mind has to be in the top 3 MLB players of all time list and he was an offensive legend. Stan Musial was probably the best all around hitter with both power and tenacity to ever play the game. RIP Stan…You were a true legend and gentleman.

Yesterday also marked the return of the NHL from its extended labor strike. There were quite a few key markee match ups including the Pittsburgh Penguins opening on the road against the Philadelphia Flyers. Well, the game did not disappoint as it was a well played game considering the long layoff…it took the Flyers two periods to really break off the rust. I must admit, I was totally shocked with the amount of support and fans that showed up all over the league yesterday, especially in Philly. There was. 10,000 people alone in the XFINITY Entertainment Lounge. With a shortened 48 game season, it should be interesting which teams will ultimately make the playoffs. By judging the games from Saturday, the playoffs are already here in spirit. This should make for some very exciting games and story lines. Stay Tuned.

Well, I worked all day and have not even turned on the TV…I had heard that Atlanta had an early lead on the 49ers in the NFC Championship. Well, my original picks for the Superbowl did not even make it to this round so at this point anything is possible. I was going to take the 49ers, but I feel that Atlanta has the edge at home. Also, I think they are out to prove that their season was not a fluke. The AFC Championship tonight…The Patriots are favored to beat the Baltimore Ravens. I’m going out on a limb to say that Ray Lewis will have one last hurrah and stun the Patriots faithful.

Speaking of Football, the Eagles did finally get a head coach this week by signing Chip Kelly. We will visit this topic many times in the near future but my only early opinion is that the Philadelphia Fan Base is out of control for some of the statements that they have made. C’MON give the guy a chance! Lets see what he can do?

On the music scene, Anthrax announced a new release of an EP this spring featuring cover songs from bands of the 60’s and 70’s. Anthrax also announced that they will be doing the Among the Living Anniversary Tour, following the footsteps of its other Big Four members. They are actually scheduled to play a show in AC so I’m sure that I will try and make it again. Also in other big news, Metallica announced that they will be doing the Orion Festival once again this summer. Should be AWESOME!

As you all know, I am a huge fan of Heavy Metal, but I am far from proclaiming myself Eddie Trunk or anywhere close to his knowledge of music. I would even venture to say that my best friend Aaron knows much more about music than me. Well, while using Pandora I actually heard a tune from Stryper…who??? Yes Stryper! I totally forgot how good this band was and them I did some research and realized that they released an album in 2011 called “The Covering” in which they covered some classics from such bands as Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, the Scorpions and a few others! The album is SICK and I would recommend it to any fan of metal or hard rock. These guys are way underrated in my mind. Michael Sweet is a Musical genius. Look for his new autobiography due out this spring along with a Greatest Hits Remaster album followed by a Brand New Studio Album! Awesome News! Can’t wait…so looking forward to this. Anyways, I was researching Christian Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Bands and I came across a band named Pillar. Let me tell you, heard some of their material and was absolutely impressed. More music news to follow, so many exciting stories including Def Leppard doing Hysteria as a Week Long Guest in Las Vegas. Wow! Wish I could be there for that.

Finally, I thought it necessary to bring up the fact that I think I had posted back when the school shootings occurred in Connecticut, that the one major problem of our government during these crises…is failure to act! Well, here we are a month has went by and still morning on the part of our government. Not even one BILL! I mean…geez they owe it to these families to do something. And the other horrible thing about these tragedies is that after time they are forgotten. This crime cannot and should not be forgotten and the Government must take action in the Gun Control and Mental Health realms. Well…thanks for letting me vent lol. Anyways…it’s good to be back…thanks again to my loyal fans!
